Origin Story
Origin Story
As I stood at the grave of a dear family friend, I wondered how this new widow was going to pay the bills now that the main provider was no longer living. I knew that statistically widows were forgotten after the funeral. Our communities assume that the family and the church will come alongside the widow to ensure that she has no financial worries and that somebody with a bigger pocket than our own will step up to foot the bills. But I knew that this was not the case, and I wished for an organization that I could give to and that they in turn would distribute those donated funds to widows in need.
I realized I had a choice. I could go home, go to work, earn a living, and life would go on. But not for this widow. She now had to formulate a plan to move forward financially. I decided to take action by creating a ministry that would come alongside her church or her family to help ease her load and give hope through monetary support. But ultimately, I envisioned a ministry that would remind widows that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.

Volunteer Support
Our volunteers are the hands and heart of this ministry. From purchasing items, assembling monthly gift boxes, and sending birthday cards and anniversary bouquets to organizing applications and supporting behind-the-scenes tasks, their faithful service makes every act of encouragement possible. Their generosity of time and care allows us to reach widows with love in tangible ways.
